Myk had big ambitions of becoming a singer-musician. Equipped with a unique tone and guitar skills, he took up Conservatory of Music in University of Santo Tomas.

When he was in mid-college, Myk's family received a life changing news - his mother is suffering from cancer. To save money for his mother's treatment, the young musician deliberately gave up the course he dreamt of, went home to Palawan, and took another course.

Myk's mother passed away, but his ambitions didn't. He gives his dream another shot here in the competition, to make his mother proud in heaven.
