Lea Salonga-Chien, KLD (born February 22, 1971), known professionally as Lea Salonga, is a Filipina lyric mezzo-soprano singer and actress who is well known for originating the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon and was also one of the first Asians to play the roles of Éponine and Fantine in the musical Les Misérables. She is also known for providing the singing voices of Princess Jasmine and Fa Mulan in the Disney films Aladdin and Mulan, respectively.

She won the Voice of the phillipines. 

She is currently a coach on The Voice of the Philippines and is billed as "The voice that conquered the world."

Dubbed as the most successful Filipino artist of all time, Lea Salonga went a long way after "Small Voice." This proud Filipina did not only make her name in the recording industry, but in animation and broadway as well.

"Bilang isang coach, ang maibibigay ko is 35years of experience. I really wanted this show." Lea says.

The Tony Award-winner is famous for her roles as Kim in Ms. Saigon; as Eponine and Fantine of Les Misérables; she is the singing voices of Disney's Mulan and Princess Jasmine, and had been involved with international projects like My Neighbor Totoro - Behind the Microphone and phenonemal medical drama television series E.R.

The Broadway Diva's thoughts on her latest challenge as a coach. "Ang The Voice of the Philppines ay isang singing contest, for me ha, kakaiba. For me, yung nakikita mong nagiging coach, mga nagiging hurado, lahat singers. At hindi lang basta singers, kundi mga bigatin, mga technically magagaling, mga nagreceive ng mga awards, at iba-ibang genre rin."

What does one accomplished woman looks forward to?

"The thing that I like about this competition is the Blind Auditions. The first time na napanood ko ito sa United States, parang hoy ano to! Wala silang nakikita, ang basehan lang ng kanilang comment and critique is boses lang. Tenga lang ang nagiging judge kung magaling o hindi. Minsan pare-pareho yung aming napupuna. Pero minsan din, ito yung mapupuna pero itong isang coach, iba naman ang ici-critique niya. Maganda na lahat kami may iba't-ibang point-of-view."
