Before she became a popular foreign singer in Bangkok, Thailand, Janice had always felt being a minor, intimidated by other singers because of her weight. When most bands let their singers perform, Janice would just sit on the stairs and sing. She soon realized that feeling afraid and inferior or being easily intimidated got her nowhere. So Janice decided feeling good and proud of herself, joined every choreographed performances and production she had time for.

Janice was able to do a lot since then. She travelled around Asia to perform as a band singer. She was able to do front acts for Filipino artists like True Faith, Jessica Zaragosa, and Dingdong Avanzado. This coach-favorite was able to perform with Thai artists in Thailand's biggest concert venues. She was able to perform on Thai television and represented the Philippines in jazz festivals around the world.
